This is an amazing place for dinner with friends. A group of 4 or 6 is ideal for you to eat family style and try many of the highlights, and still have more to go back another time with a different group. The vibe is very cool and modern. The waiters are very friendly and took their time to explain the food and the combinations. They seem very proud of the restaurant. The execution of the food was great. For me the highlights were the most tender lamb chops I've ever had, the "duck" fish, and crispy shrimp. The other shrimps, the curry shrimp with tomato had a perfect crisp, but the curry's flavor was too mild. I also went for a solo dinner, but the portions were very large and the flavors didn't manage to hold my interest. Definitely go with a group.

I had the pleasure of joining Nin Hao on their inaugural day as a laptop-friendly Chinese lunch bento box cafe. Located in an inviting and modern space in Prospect Heights, Nin Hao is now offering a much-needed, counter-service lunch option available weekdays from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Super ideal for both remote workers and those on the go. I'm Pescatarian and got the Grandma’s Braised Asian Bass Filet, with puff tofu and barramundi, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. The fish was tender and perfectly braised, absorbing the rich, savory flavors of the sauce. The puff tofu added a delightful textural contrast, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, while the barramundi was light yet flavorful, a wonderful complement to the more robust bass. I also got the vegetable spring rolls and watermelon radish salad. The spring rolls were extra crispy and filled with a medley of fresh vegetables, not to mention the sweet sauce, took me to a special place. The watermelon radish salad was unexceptionally crunchy! Similar to their mountain jelly salad they also offer. I Ioved the vibrant colors that provided both visual appeal and a refreshing palate cleanser. The portion size was just right...enough to keep you satisfied and energized for the rest of the workday without feeling too full. Nin Hao’s Bento Box Cafe is a real gem, blending authentic Chinese flavors with the convenience we all crave. I’m so glad Nin Hao is offering a cafe service and if live in this area, you definitely shouldn’t miss out!

I’ve been to Nin Hao several times and it gets better everytime! The space is stunning. The staff is all wonderful and helpful. The food is a great addition to the neighborhood!! Still trying to find more friends so I have an excuse to try the full chicken... but until then, I can definitely recommend the Curry Lamb Chops, Razor Clams, and Ban Ban Noodles. The cocktails are unique and tasty twists on classics. They also have a great wine assortment AND Hana Makgeolli.

Nin Hao is an absolute treasure for anyone who enjoys authentic and flavorful cuisine. I started with the Fujianese Spicy Rouyan Wonton, which packed a delightful punch, perfectly balanced by the crunch of water chestnuts. The Seafood Pancake was another standout, with Fujianese immigrant oysters and dried seaweed offering a unique taste that’s hard to find elsewhere. The Coco Vancouver Crab Glass Noodle was a heartwarming dish, reminiscent of home cooking, and the Sizzling Pan Cumin Lamb Chop was a showstopper, arriving sizzling hot and richly flavored with cumin. The classic Mapo Tofu was impeccably made with just the right level of spice and the Coconut Taro Pudding Bites ended the meal on a high note, with their delightful combination of ube, milk, and honey. Every dish at Nin Hao was a testament to the chef’s expertise and attention to detail, and the service was as impeccable as the food. If you’re looking for a place that serves up both great food and a welcoming atmosphere, Nin Hao should definitely be on your list!

I can’t believe this place exists and hasn’t gotten more reviews and lines down the block. A really special curated menu and delicious food, Nin Hao is carving its way through the Prospect Heights/Fort Greene food scene as a stand out restaurant. Not only do they have great lunch and dinner service, they have become a pillar of the community through hosting mainstay events. They have live music Wednesdays and laptop lunch hours for those who still WFH. I was lucky enough to attend one of their Mahjong for beginners pop up with lunch and it was so much fun! Please don’t skip out on this gem of a restaurant! I would love to see my block full because they are booked out and people are waiting just to be seated (it’s that kind of place). Note: They have been adjusting their prices and menus since first opening! Check them out again

Nin Hao is a gem in Brooklyn—authentic southern Chinese (Fujianese) flavors done right, with standout dishes like the rouyan wontons and seafood pancake. The cocktail list is surprisingly impressive with peanut flavors in it, highly creative, and perfectly matched to the food. Great vibe, stylish space, and warm service. Highly recommend!

Had a delicious lunch here! They recently started doing a "laptop friendly power lunch" with a selection of bento boxes ranging from high teens to low 20s in price. Great deal for the quality of food, which is much better than the average Chinese restaurant. Order at the counter, grab a number, pick a table, and the food comes out quickly. I'll be back, it's a great option for a quick sit down work lunch. Pictured is the mapo tofu w/ wontons and radish salad, 19. Also, my fiance is vegan, and they said they could make multiple of the options vegan when asked.

I took my friends to have Fuzhou cuisine for the first time. This place did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and the waitstaff were all very friendly. We also loved all the decorations and the details in the restaurants. Definitely will be back again.
